- It has been half a year since you arrived in Japan at the end of February [2016], have you gotten used to Japan and AKB48?
A: Pretty much used to the place now. When I stand on the stage dancing, singing it is a very happy moment for me.
- What do you think has been the most difficult thing?
A: Ironically dancing. Although I practice every day, but I’m still very bad at it, and need to practice more and work harder
- Can you remember the Japanese lyrics?
A: At the moment I am not able to remember the lyrics off the top of my land, so every day I listen to and songs and peruse the lyric cards at the same time. Additionally, I attend my Japanese language classes every day
-What about your conversational skill level?
A: My introduction during the presentation time is memorised. When the members talk amongst each during the MC presentation time, I can’t understand sometimes (lol)
- What is the most fun thing since coming to japan?
A: Being able to receive the supports of my fans. Some of them use Mandarin to communicate with me, with words such as 「喜歡」. Although they can only use individual words, this gesture touches me.
- Have you been able to make friends?
A: The trainees in Team B, Takahashi Kira, Nishikawa Ren, Yamabe Ari, because we started at the same time and are in the same “class”, so we get along well. Although there are different levels of seniority, I get along well with Hiwa-tan. (Hiwatashi Yui)
-How was your feeling participating in your first janken taikai?
A: When I was in Taiwan, the janken taikai was an annual watching ritual for me on the internet. But for me, I’m weak at janken. In Taiwan we have a game, where the winner of rock-paper-scissors would climb up the flight of stairs, and I would usually be left behind at the bottom of the stairs (lol)
- Is there any member which you would like to have a showdown with?
A: Fujita Naana-san! She won [the janken tournament] last year [in 2015], and is amazing at dancing. If we get the opportunity to appear together to perform, will give me guidance.
- Regarding playing rock-paper-scissors, do you have any memories that stand out?
A: In the club activities of my high school days, the head of the club would be decided by rock-paper-scissors. The rule was the standard rock-paper-scissor rules apply during the normal round, but the eventual who becomes the head of the club is the looser of the final round. And I really wanted to be the club head, so relied on the flow of the momentum into the final round. In the end I willed to loose in the final round, to become the club head (lol).
- For the winner to be decided on the looser? That is a really mysterious rule (lol). In saying that, what are your hopes for this year’s janken taikai?
A: I hope I enter the Unit [group] selection. Additionally, hopefully I will have the opportunity to rely on my choice of dress to promote Taiwan.
